Infrared spectra sampling method for air sensitive solid state compounds

Abstract

A spherical glass container (diam. ~28 cm, vol. ~10 L) was made which was used for O-sensitive organic compounds such as bis(methylcyclopentadienyl)yttrium chloride to make pellets in the absence of O for IR spectra measurements. The glass container was also useful for the medical or biolog. operations under aseptic conditions and nonpoisonous environment.
