Abstract

Eight title compounds were synthesized by the reaction of 1,3,2-dibenzo[d.f]- or dinaphtho(a,b)[d.f]dioxaborepin with b-diketones, including acetylacetone, ferrocenoylacetone, benzoylacetone and dibenzoylmethane. Their IR and NMR spectra indicated that the ligands bonded bidentately with boron to form spiro boron chelates.
