A new chiral reagent for measuring the enantiomeric purity of chiral acids was prepared, its absolute configuration was assigned by chem. correlation method. Diastereomeric amides were prepared from this chiral amine and various acids. The NMR spectra of diastereomeric amides show significantly different chem. shifts both in H and F regions. Satisfactory determination of enantiomeric composition of a series of acids was made.
