A series of zirconocene phenoxizes, Cp2ZrCl2-n(EAr)n, where E+O or S.n=1 or 2, werer sythesized and characterized. All these compounds are colourless or slightly coloured. Most of the monosubstituted compounds (i.e.n=1), exhibited the powder second harmonic generaton (SHG) effect with a maximum intensity of 4.5×KDP so far.
