Abstract

Five compounds have been isloated from the sponge Polymastia sobustia collected from the South China sea. Their structures were established as stigmast-5-ene-7-one-3βol (1), N-(1-hydroxymethyl-2, 6-dihydroxyl)heptadecyl-5- hydroxyltetracosanamide(2),thymine (3), uracil (4),p-hydroxy- benzioc acid (5), by MS,IR, 1^D NMR, 2^D NMR, and elemental analysis. Compounds 1 and 2 are new compounds.
