A Feasible and Efficient Route for Preparation of ortho-Hydroxy- benzaldehydes: Application of ortho-Lithiation Method and in-situ FTIR Spectroscopy

Ortho-lithiated O-phenyl carbamates treated by DMF offered a feasible general route to construct ortho-hydroxybenzaldehydes regioselectively, and in-situ IR monitoring the process implied the existence of the six-membered intermediate Li-complex.
