Abstract

MoO3/Al2O3 solid base catalysts were prepared by impregnation method and the catalytic activity of MoO3, Al2O3 and MoO3/Al2O3 were investigated in the oxidation reaction of sulfoether to sulfoxide using H2O2 as oxidant. The result indicated that the conversion was 100% and no by-product produced when the catalyst of MoO3/Al2O3 loaded 20% of MoO3. Then, the intermediate of lansoprazole was oxidated by using the same method to get the corresponding lansoprazole in the yield of 80%. The catalyst could be used 6 times without deactivity.
