在前一文中,我们曾报告以钼酸钡法测定钼的适宜条件,今作下列一些补充,目的在说明:(1)这个方法能否适用到少量的钼;(2)完全沉淀时溶液中所需过量的沉淀济之最低浓度。钼酸根的测定,依照前文所用的方法和步骤,但沉淀剂和洗涤液均改用较淡的氯化钡(前者用百分之一,后者用千分之一浓度),以便观察过量沉淀剂各种浓度所产生的影响。

In a previous paper, [Liang and Hsii: Jour. Chinese Chew. Soc. 17, 90 (1950)],we reported on the optimum conditions for determinin;, molybdenum as barium molybdate. In the present investigation it is found that the barium molybdate method may be employed to determine as low as b mg of MoO3 in 200 ml of solution. The minimum concentration of excessive precipitant may be set at 5×10-4 M, below which complete precipitation can not be attained. The presence of any metal that forms a slightly soluble hydroxide in solutions with a plf value edual to or greater than 6 is objectionable. The method requires the absence of even small quantities of zinc, a,nd permits the presence of less than 0.01 M of magnesium.
