The critical crossover behavior in the ternary electrolyte solutions of water+3-methylpyridine+sodium bromide is a matter of debate. Some studies exhibited a crossover from asymptotic Ising behavior to mean-field critical behavior in this system, while the others showed universal Ising-like critical behavior without the evidence of the critical crossover. In this paper, the critical phenomena of those ternary mixtures with the critical composition have been studied by the dynamic and static light scattering. The dynamic and the static correlation lengths were measured and found to be consistent with each other. Moreover, the dynamic and static effective critical exponents exhibited the 3D-Ising value and the crossover was not observed in the temperature range we studied.
