关于对位联多苯的电子光谱[1,2]Lewis[3]认为是属于“两类典型线摆动体”以外的一个“中间类型”,而Ferguson[4]认为是“第一类共轭体系”的一个例外,电子光谱不能用λ2∝n或λ∝n这两个典型公式来表示.

The HOMO energies(εH)of pare-and mete-polyphenyls are calcalated with the graph theory of molecular orbitals.The εH and the wavo numbers (v) of maximum absorption bands follow the rule of homologoas linearity, but the variations of εH and v are more considerable for pare-polyphenyls than for mete-isomers.
