Abstract

Photolysis of methylbenzothiazepines I (R = Cl, MeO, EtO, SCN) gave isomerization products II, whereas photolysis of I (R = PhCO2, 4-ClC6H4CO2, 4-MeOC6H4CO2) gave Fries rearrangement products III.
