Microstructure, magnetic and magneto-optical properties of Co-Mn ferrite nanocrystalline films

The sol-gel synthesis of CoFe2-xMnxO4 (x=0~2,0) nanocrystalline films has been accomplished on monocrystalline silicon substrates and the influence of mn^3+ on structure, magnetic and magneto-optical (MO) properties of the resultant ferrite examined. The results reveal that Mn can effectively lower the Curie temperature of Co ferrite and the magneto-optical properties is enhanced by Mn^3+ doping.
