The relationship of conformation ,stability and biological activity of trichosanthin in aqueous solution

The conformation of trichosanthin in aqueous solution under different pH, temperature and keeping time has been investigated by CD. The stable external surroundings of trichosanthin solution, for example, pH, temperature and keeping time, has been explained. The relationship between the conformation of trichosanthin solution and the antireproductive activity has been also studied. The result showed that the a-helix in the solution has the pos. relation with antireproductive activity. Antireproductive activity increases along with the a-helix in the solution, and it disappears while a-helix in the solution decreases to less than 15%.-
