Preparation and Magnetic Properties of Polyacrylate-LiNi Ferrite Nanocomposites

LiNi ferrite nano-particles obtained by the rheological phase reaction were modified by the coupling agent and polyacrylate-LiNi ferrite nanocomposites were synthesized by emulsion polymerization. The structure, morphologies and magnetic properties of the nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectrometry, transmission electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, vibrating sample magnetometry and impedance/material analysis. The results indicated that the nano-sized ferrite particles were embedded into the polyacrylate matrix, which improved the thermal stability of the composites. The nanocomposite exhibited the hysteresis loops of the ferrimagnetic nature under an applied magnetic field and had the hysteresis loss properties.
