α-Aminophosphonates are a family of very important natural amino acid analogs. Due to their unique chemical structures and a wide range of biological activities, they have attracted great attention of research. This review deals with the new development in synthesis and separation of a-aminophosphonates and α-aminophosphonic acid containing optical activity.
