Study on the Reaction of N,N'-Diaryldithiooxamides with 1,2-Dibromoethane

A series of 2,3-biarylimino-1,4-dithiacyclohexane compounds were synthesized by the sufur- alkylation of N,N'-diaryldithiooxamide with 1,2-dibromoethane in the presence of bases. The reactions were completed in 4 h and the yields were 52%～62%. The structures of the products were established by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, MS spectra and X-ray diffraction analysis.
