An Alternate Method for the Synthesis of p-Nitro-acetophenone

從乙醯苯胺、醋酸酐與氯化鋅作用,經水解後製得對胺基苯乙酮.在氟硼酸水溶液中重氮化之,再在亞硝酸鈉的水溶液中以銅粉為觸媒,將此重氮團置換成爲硝基,即得對硝基苯乙酮.

p-Nitro-acetophenone was prepared by diezotizing p-amino-acetophenone in fluoroboric acid solution and replacing the diazonium fluoroborat,: group by the nitro group in presence of finely divided copper as catalyst. Yield 55-60% m.p. 76-78℃. Recrystaliization from alcohol gave a product of m. p. 80℃.
