本文报告合成氯霉素相似化合物3-[隣二氯(或一氯)乙醯氨基-对硝基苯基]-丙醇。此等化合物对大肠杆菌,伤寒杆菌,副伤寒甲及乙杆菌,金色葡萄球菌及枯草杆菌等细菌均不现抑制作用。说明氯霉素分子上的二氯乙醯氨基从脂肪炼上移至芳香环的相邻位置上,以及仲醇羟基以氢代替后则原有的抗生作用即消失。

This paper deals with the synthesis of 3-[o-dichloro (or monochloro-) acetamino-p-vitro-plenyl)-propanol (Ⅱ or Ⅱa), structurally varying from chloramphenicol on the one hand by shifting the dichloroacetamino group from the aliphatic side-chain to aromatic ring and replacing the secondary hydroxyl group by hydrogen on the other, for the purpose of investigating the relation biological action and chemical constitution of the antibiotic.
