用聚四氟乙烯-TBP反相分配层析柱,从4.0N硝酸介质中,能自钍中分离钪和重希土元素;从8.0N盐酸介质中,自重希土和钍中分离钪。经两段淋洗,可将三者相互分离。用0.9×15厘米的层析柱,可使数毫克钍、重希土和5-50微克钪彼此分离;用2.0×15厘米之层析柱,可使100毫克钍、5毫克重希土、10-50微克钪相互分离。

Using tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP) supported on poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (50-150 mesh) as stationary phase, and mineral acids of different concentrations or water as mobile phase, it is possible to separate thorium, scandium and heavy lanthanons from one another.
