本文探讨铀、镧、钐、钐、钆、钇等元素在三正辛胺-硝酸铵体系中的纸层析行为。以三正辛胺的苯溶液处理滤纸作固定相,以硝酸铵作流动相分离上述元素时,展开剂浓度和酸度的变化对镧和铀的比移值影响较大,而对钐、铕、钆、钇却甚小。饱和三正辛胺-苯溶液时所用硝酸浓度不同亦影响比移值,鲍和时酸度不足将导致斑点拖尾。此外,比较六种叔胺(C4-C9)对上述元素的分离效率,除三丁胺外均可用于铀和希土的分离。叔胺的碳原子数与分离效率之间似无简单的关系。文中确定从镧中析出钐、铕、钆等的极限比。用21×1.5厘米的纸条从1毫克镧中分离和检出1微克钐。

The paper chromatographic behaviour of uranium, lanthanum, samarium, europium, gadolinium and yttrium with tri-n-octylamine (TNOA)/ammonium nitrate system and the ascending technique was investigated. The Whatman No. 1 paper strip (1.5×21 cm) was treated with 0.3 ml of 0.2 M TNOA benzene solution, which had been saturated with twice its volume of 2 M nitric acid before use. As eluent, aqueous ammonium nitrate solution of different concentrations, acidified with nitric acid, was used. It took about two hours to develop the chromatogram. The relation between the RF values of the elemenu mentioned and the concentration of ammonium nitrate (2-10 M, acidified with nitric acid to attain pH 2.4) was shown in Table 1 in the Chinese text. It was found that uranium(Ⅵ), lanthanum and samarium together with europium, gadolinium, and yttrium can be separated into three spots over a wide range of ammonium nitrate concentrations.
