A SIMPLE METHOD OF THE PREPARATION OF PENTAFLUOROCHLOROETHANE

五氟氯乙烷FC-115和二氟氯甲烷分别按51.2和48.8的重量百分比组成一个恒沸混合物F-502(或称R-502),它是一种新型致冷剂.它兼有单独使用FC-12,FC-22的优点,制冷压缩机之排气温度相当于FG-12而致冷量却比FC-22高5~30%,降低了对绝缘材料的要求,同时还保持着一般氟碳化合物的特点,即毒性小、不燃、不爆,所以这一致冷剂曾被广泛应用.

This paper describes a simple method of the preparation of ohloropentafluoroethane,known as FC-115,whioh in a mixture with FC-22 (51.2:48.8,w/w) gives the new effective refrigerant,F-502 (or R-502).The fluorination of 1-ohloro-2-iodofluoroethane by Swarts' method produces smoothly ohloropentafluroethane at 120-130℃ under atmospheric pressare. The yield is 80.3%.1-chloro-2-iodo-tetrafluoroethane can be conveniently obtained on kilogram scale from tetrafluoroethene and iodine monochloride ina stainless steel tube with 79% yiela at 50-70℃ under 5-10 atmospheric pressure.
