益母草(Leonurus sibiricus L.),中医广泛用于妇产科疾病,具有产后止血、止痛和收缩子宫等作用.早在1930年,久保田等已从这个植物中分离出一种生物碱Leonurine,分子式为C13H19N4O4,熔点238℃,具有收缩子宫等作用.1962年我们从北京郊区生长的益母草中,分离出一种生物碱,定名为“碱甲”,熔点229～230.5℃.

"Alkaloid A" was isolated from the Chinese drug I-Mu-Tsao,Leonurus sibiricus L.by alumina column chromatography of the crude ethanolic egtraot of the plant.The acid-degradation produots of "alkaloid A" were proved to be syringic acid,4-gnanidino-l-butanol and nitrous acid.The complete structure of "alkaloid A" was identified as leonnrine nitrite by comparison with an authentio sample.
