2-取代-1,3-二氧六环-5-醇和1,3-二-Ο-烷基甘油的对甲苯磺酸酯在沸丁酮呻与碘化钠的反应表明,前者不发生交换而后者只缓慢地交换。烷基的变动看来不影响反应速率。对两类化合物反应活性的显著差别进行了理论分析。

The p-toluenesulfonates of 2-substituted 1, 3-diogane-5-of with 2-substitnents being hydrogen, isopropyl, phenyl, and grnitrophenyl and of 1, 3-di-O-alkylglycerol with alkyls as methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, and benzyl groups are subject to the reaction with sodium iodide in boiling butanone. It is found that the cyclic sulfonates do not react, but the linear esters undergo slow ezohange to form the corresponding iodides.
