A PRECISION ROTATING-BOMB CALORIMETER AND THE HEAT OF COMBUSTION OF THIANTHRENE

本文叙述了转动弹量热计的建立。用本实验室自制高纯苯甲酸标定了量热计的能当量,其精密度为0.02%,利用本仪器测定噻蒽的燃烧热值
-△Ec0=1730.26±0.52千卡/克分子。

A precision rotating-bomb calorimeter similar to that developed by Hubbard, Katz, and Waddington was constructed in this laboratory. It was calibrated by combustion of benzoic acid of purity 99.999 mole percent, which was prepared and its heat of combustion under standard bomb conditions was determined electrically in this laboratory. The precision of the results of the calibration experiments expressed in standard deviation of the mean was about two parts in ten thousand.
