α-甲氧基苯基乙酸与锆的沉淀作用

Kumins提出苦杏仁酸为锆的专一试剂,初步认为沉淀是正盐.Feigl认为锆以电价連于羧基,以共价連于邻近的羟基而形成内络盐,并指出锆的配位数有八和六的可能.Hahn等用电导法虽未能解决锆在此化合物中的配位数问题,而Stromatt用红内光谱却证实在苦杏仁酸锆中全部羟基与锆配位,所以此络合物中锆的配位数为八.Kapoor等找出在中性和弱酸性溶液中形成碱式苦杏仁酸锆(Ⅰ),而在2.4N盐酸介质中始形成四苦杏仁酸锆(Ⅱ).

As mandelic acid is known as a specific zirconium precipitant,it is interesting to learn whether its methylated compound,a-methoxyphenylacetic acid,also functions as a zirconium reagent.It is found experimentally that zirconium can be quantitatively thrown down as a basic a-methoxyphenylacetate,in which the mole ratio of zirconium to the reagent is 1:1,from media of pH 0.8-1.4 containing several grams of ammonium chloride.The amount of precipitant added should be about fifteen fold more than the theoretical amount required(calculated on the basis of 1:1).
