本文叙述从3-(隣氨基苯基)-丙醇开始經过五步反应合成3-(隣二氯乙酰氨甲基-对硝基苯基)-丙醇。此化合物对結核杆菌607的抑制作用約为氯霉素的十六分之一;对葡萄球菌,大腸杆菌及枯草杆菌無显著抑制作用。

3-(o-Diclhoroacetaminomethyl-p-nitrophenyl)-propanol (1Ⅰ) structurally related to chloramphenieol has been prepared for the purpose of investigating the relation between biological action and chemical constitution of the antibiotic.
