从几种通称为川贝的商品如青贝、白炉贝、黄炉贝、白松贝及黄松贝,分离出五种不同的植物碱,其紫外吸收光措及实验式均与西贝素的很相似,可能均属於变形(石享)类植物碱;又由东北产的平贝中分离出一种植物碱,很可能与贝母素甲相同。

Pei-mu,a generic name for the corns of Fritillaria spp.,is one of the widely used botanical drugs in this country.The alkaloidal constituents of five of the so-called "Szechuan" varieties and one of the Manchurian variety (Fritillaria ussuriensis Maximowicx) have been examined.All of them yield alkaloids,which contain twenty-seven carbon atoms and probably belong to the group of modified steroidal alkaloids.
