By the action of ethyl meso-a,β-dibromosuccinate and ethyl dl-α,β-dibromo-succinate respectively on disodinm salt of catechol,the corresponding ethyl meso-Ⅱ),b,p.157-160°/4mm.and dl-benzodioxan-(1,4)-dicarbogylate-(2,3) (VII),b.p.156-160°/7mm,were prepared.
