Abstract

Five p-cyclopentadienyl(dicarbonyl)(aroyl)iron complexes (I, R= C6H5, p-CH3C6H4, o-CH3C6H4, p-CH3OC6H4, p-CF3C6H4) have been synthesized by the reaction of cyclopentadienyl(tricarbonyl)iron with RLi in ether at low temperature and subsequent alkylation of the acylmetalates formed with Et3OBF4 in CH2Cl2 at -60?or in aqueous solution at 0?
