The electronic spectral character of acridine orange dye in the solution of sodium lauryl sulfate

Abstract

The acridine orange dye was used as a probe for studying the process of micelle formation in the solution of sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). The result indicated a step of premicell formation in this process. When the concentration of SLS solution increases to cmc value, the micelle should be formed in the basis of single premicellar particle.
