After comparison of the mass spectra of 23 tropine ester alkaloids,it is found that whether or not oxygen-containing groups are present at C₆ or C₇ positions is an important structural factor which gives rise to different mass spectral characteristics,and based on these,the structures of new alkaloids belong to this group can be easily deduced.
