The parallel combinatorial solution phase synthesis was already greatly benefited from using solid-supported reagents, catalysts and scavengers in the past decade. Solidified reagents or catalysts could integrate the advantages of the solution phase synthesis and the convenience of the product isolation and purification of solid phase synthesis. This paper reviews the achievement in the single-step, multi-step combinatorial solution-phase synthesis using the solid-supported reagents and catalysts.
