π-π interaction, as an important weak interaction, extensively exists in an aromatic supramolecular system. The characters, types, valid parameters, examinable methods and influence factors are summarized for π-π interaction. In addition, some introduction is made for evolution of π-π interaction in the field of self-assembly, asymmetric catalysis, organic semiconductor, and so on.
