A novel emitting material with a branched molecular structure 2,4,6-tris{4-[N,N-di(p-tolyl)- amino]styryl}-1,3,5-s-triazine (TBTN) has been synthesized, which was confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR, MS (MALDI-TOF), elemental analysis and characterized by UV-visible, photoluminescence (PL) and electroluminescence (EL) spectroscopy. A bright and color stable white was obtained from the organic light- emitting diodes (OLED) of ITO/2-TNATA (30 nm)/NPB (20 nm)/TBTN (30 nm)/Alq3 (30 nm)/LiF (0.5 nm)/Al, in which TBTN was used as an emitting layer. The maximum brightness of 1523 cd/m2 coming from the white organic light-emitting device (WOLED) was measured at the driving voltage of 15 V, more-over, the CIE (International Commission on Illumination) coordinate of the white-emitting device was stable on bias voltage.
Key words: electroluminescence, s-triazine derivative, white-light-emitting
