Abstract

Two new lactic acid derivatives of noniacids A and B (1 and 2) and a new natural product melilotic acid (3) were obtained from the ethyl acetate extract of theNoni Juice. The structures were elucidated using comprehensive spectroscopic methods, and the absolute configurations were defined by comparing optical rotation with the standard. Compounds 1 and 2 showed significant inhibitory activity againstα-glucosidase enzyme with IC50 values of 242.0 and 229.3 µmol•L–1, respectively.
