The C-glycosylation reactions of different protected stilbene monomers with anomeric acetylated glucosyl donor were promoted by BF₃•OEt₂, and their corresponding aryl C-glucosides were stereoselectively synthesized. The kind and stablity of phenolic protecting groups in stilbenes directly influenced the product yields of 10-C-β-glucosides and 12-C-β-glucosides. Final global deprotection of stilbene C-glucoside intermediates was unsuccessful, but the structures of 10-C-β-glucoside product were confirmed by the selective debenzylation of brominated resveratrol 10-C-β-glucoside analogue.

On the basis of aureonuclemycin biosynthetic gene cluster obtained in the previous work, in-frame markerless deletion mutants of all genes were constructed, and the key genes that play a role in the biosynthesis of aureonuclemycin were identified. Two key aureonuclemycin-like compounds were successfully obtained from mutant and wild-type strains. According to the results of in vivo experiments, metabolite analysis and identification of key compounds, the possible biosynthetic pathway of aureonuclemycin was proposed.

Two new labdane diterpenoids 3-oxo-7-hydroxy-8(17),13E-labdadien-15-oic acid (1), 3-oxo-8-hydroxy-13E-lab- den-15-oic acid (2), and five known terpenoids were obtained from the leaves of Callicarpa nudiflora during a systematic phytochemical investigation. The structures were elucidated using comprehensive spectroscopic methods [nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) and high resolution electrospray ionization mass spectroscopy (HR-ESI-MS)], and the absolute configuration of 1 was established based on single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The inhibitory activity of all the compounds on NO production in lipopolysaccharide-induced (LPS) mouse leukemia cells of monocyte macrophage (RAW 264.7) cells was evaluated. Compounds 1 and 2 showed potential anti-inflammatory activity with IC₅₀ values of (10.3±0.3) and (12.7±0.4) μmol/L, respectively.

Oxidation of alcohols to the corresponding carbonyl compounds plays a very important role in fundamental research and industrial applications of organic chemistry. In this paper, a green and efficient method for alcohol oxidation to carbonyl compounds was reported over a surface oxygen vacancies-enriched Nb₂O₅ as the photocatalyst. The catalytic system demonstrates high activity with wide substrate scope and diverse functional group compatibility under mild reaction conditions and visible-light irradiation. In addition, the catalyst has good catalytic stability, which can be recycled for several times with maintaining the catalytic activity unchanged.

In order to explore new pyrazole oxime compounds possessing satisfactory bioactivities, sixteen pyrazole oxime derivatives containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole group were prepared with fenpyroximate selected as lead structure. Their insecticidal activities were determined. Preliminary bioassay demonstrated that all the target compounds displayed 100% insecticidal activities towards Mythimna separata at 500 μg/mL, of which 5 target compounds possessed 80%~100% insecticidal activities against Mythimna separata at 100 μg/mL. Moreover, at concentration of 500 μg/mL, mortality rates against Aphis medicaginis of 9 target compounds were 100%, those of 3 compounds were 70%~100% at 100 μg/mL. Additionally, 4 target compounds exhibited more than 80% mortality rates against Tetranychus cinnabarinus at 500 μg/mL.

Four compounds were isolated from the dichloromethane extract of stem bark of Illicium difengpi by using various column chromatographic methods. Their structures were identified as difengpienol D (1), (E)-3,4-methylenedioxophenyl propenal (2), dihydrocubebin (3) and pestalotiopyrone G (4) respectively by mass spectrometry (MS), infrared spectroscopy (IR), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), etc. and quantum chemical calculation method. Compound 1 was an unusual new compound formed by acyclic monoterpenoid and phenylpropanoid through C—C chain, and was also the first monoterpene-phenylpropanoid isolated from the genus Illicium. It showed weak anti-inflammatory activity.
