Synthesis, crystal structure and kinetics of thermal decomposition of o-vanillin-serine Schiff base dipyridine zinc(Ⅱ)

The crystal of o-vanillin-serine dipyridine Zn(Ⅱ) C~2~6H~2~6N~4O~5Zn was synthesized and its structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction method. The complex is orthorhombic system, space group P2~12~12~1 with a=0.9460(4)nm, b=1.4114(4)nm, c=1.9254(4)nm, V=2.571(2)nm^3, Z=4. The kinetics of thermal decomposition reaction of the complex was studied under a non-isothermal condition by TG. The kinetic parameters were obtained from the analysis of TG, DTG curves by integral and differential methods. The kinetic equation of thermal decomposition reaction is: dα/dt=A·e^-^E^/^R^T·(1-α)^2
