Abstract

The rate constants for cross-cycloaddn. and homocycloaddn. reactions of the title styrenes were measured at 120-160? The result indicates that very likely there is an extrapolar interaction in the transition state of the cross-cycloaddn. reaction between donor- and acceptor-substituted trifluorostyrenes.
