Palladium-Catalyzed Suzuki-Coupling Reaction between Ferroceneboronic Acid and Organic Triflates for the Preparation of Monosubstituted Arylferrocenes

Monosubstituted ferrocene derivatives were prepared with high yields from ferroceneboronic acid and organic triflates in refluxing dioxane by Pd(PPh3)4-catalyzed Suzuki-coupling reaction in which K3PO4 was used as a base. The yields of the coupling reactions of various triflates were in the range of 72%??92%.
