喹啉-碘甲烷在若干脂肪醇(C3-C7)中为二极反应。温度在55-85°时,速率常数k=2.85·10-3-19.2·10-3升/克分子·分,活化能为17.0-19.0千卡/克分子。速率常数k随碳原子数增加而降低,活化能E则相应略有增高,碳原子数相同的各醇的异构物之间速率常数和活化能近于一致。

The specific reaction rates of the bimolecular reaction of quinoline with methyl iodide in some aliphatic alcohols (C3-C3) have been determined at various temperatures (55-800) and found to range between 2.85·10-3-19.2·10-3l/mole·min.The activation energies range between 17.0-19.0 kcal/mole.The specific rate constant of the reaction has been shown to decrease with increase of the number of the carbon atoms of the alcohols, but the activation energy increases slightly.The specific rate constants for the isomeric alcohols are nearly identical.
