Five new coordination polymers [Cd(TFSA)(2,2'-bpy)2]n (1), [Mn(HFGA)(phen)2]n (2), [Co(TFSA)(bpp)2(H2O)2]n (3), [Zn(TFSA)(bpp)2(H2O)2]n (4) and [Cu(HFGA)(phen)]n (5) (TFSA=tetrafluorosuccinate, HFGA=hexafluoroglutarate, 2,2'-bpy=2,2'-bipyridine, phen=1,10-phenanthroline, bpp= 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane) have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The complexes 1 and 2 have similar 1D chain structures, in which adjacent Cd2+ and Mn2+ ions are linked by TFSA and HFGA ligands using its two monodentate carboxylate groups, while 2,2'-bipy and phen act as terminal ligands to chelate the Cd2+ and Mn2+ ion, respectively. The complexes 3 and 4 have similar 1D chain structures, in which adjacent metal ions Co2+ or Zn2+ are linked by bpp ligands using its two N atoms, while TFSA and HFGA act as terminal ligands using one carboxylate oxygen atom to coordinate the metal(Ⅱ) ion. Complex 5 has a 2D network structure with the topology of {4.82}, in which the neighbouring Cu2+ ions are connected through HFGA ligands using a monodantate/bidentate-bridging mode. All of five complexes are further connected by hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions into 3D supramolecular structures.
