Catalysis of photoelectrochemical reactions III: Photocatalytic behaviors of cobalt ions in solution and n-TiO2 electrode modified with cobalt

Different pathways of photocatalytic behaviors of Co on n-TiO2 electrodes were studied. Co ions in solution could improve the filling factor of polarization curves of the electrode under illumination. On the other hand, TiO2 electrode surface modified with Co could result in significant enhancement of photocurrent. Possible mechanisms of the photocatalytic effect of Co were postulated.
