Abstract

This paper reports the reaction of epoxytosylate in 1, 6-anhydro-D-glucopyranose with lithium diphenylphosphide in THF. A new chiral phosphine: 1, 6-anhydro-4-deoxy-4-(diphenylphosphino)-D-glucopyranose was obtained and the crystal structure of the phosphine oxide was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.
