Synthesis of Hexakis(4-nitrophenoxy) cyclotriphosphazene by an Improved Method

An improved method to synthesize hexakis(4-nitrophenoxy) cyclotriphosphazene is reported. The reaction time (only about 1.5 h) is much shorter by this method than by other methods reported and the operation is also simplified. The product is characterized by IR, ~1H NMR, ~(31)P NMR spectra, elemental analysis and DSC (differential scanning calorimetry).
