Two new triterpenoid saponins were isolated from the total saponin mixture of O. ochrocephala. The structures were elucidated as 3-O-[a-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1?)-b-D-glucopyranosyl(1?)-b-D-glucuron opyranosyl]-soyasapogenol B and 3-O-[a-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1?)-a-L-arabinopyranosyl(1?)-b-D-glucur onopyranosyl]-soyasapogenol B by spectral anal. and chem. transformations.
