Preparation and Properties of 5-(4-Nicotinicaminophenyl)-10,15,20- triphenylporphyrin and Its Zn Complexes

The new 5-(4-nicotinicaminophenyl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin ligand (H2P) and its complexe ZnP have been synthesized and confirmed by means of elemental analyses, UV-Vis spectra, FT-IR spectra and 1H NMR spectra. Fluorescence spectra of the porphyrin ligand and the complexes were investigated. We also studied the electrochemistry of the ligand and the complexes. The results showed that there are much difference between the ligand and the complexes of the UV-Vis spectra, infrared spectra, and fluorescence spectra. The cyclic voltammetry of the ligand and ZnP are investigated. The thermal studies show that the porphyrins have higher thermal stability and could be decomposed until 390 ℃.
