近来的研究结果表明炎症反应过程中的细胞识别取决于组织细胞和白细胞表面上糖链与择凝素之间的识别与结合, 因此, 有关择凝素、择凝素的糖基配体及择凝素的拟糖苷抑制剂的研究便成为目前一个十分热门的领域, 特别是最近有关各种择凝素的特异性配体的特征结构的揭示, 为设计新型择凝素抑制剂和抗炎药物提供了新的模型和提示。本文将就这些方面的最新研究进展和动态作简单介绍。

The initial step of inflammatory-response is determined by the selective binding between selectins and carbohydrates on the surface of tissue cells and leukemia cells. The studies on selectins, on the structure of their carbohydrate ligands and their glyco-mimetic inhibitors have been a very active field. The recent identification of the specific biological ligands of various selectins leads to new directions for the design of new inhibitors and new anti-inflammatory drugs. The recent progress on these respects is reviewed in this paper.
