3-甲酰基色酮1a1h与马尿酸反应, 生成缩合产物色酮-3-基吖内酯2a2h, 水解后得到相应的β-(取代色酮-3-基)-α-丙氨酸3a3h.

The reaction of 3-formylchromones 1a1h with hippuric acid gave condensed compounds, chromon-3-yl azlactones 2a2h, which underwent hydrolysis to afford β-(substitutedchrmon-3-yl)- α-alanine derivatives 3a3h.
