Abstract

In the present paper, the reactivity (hydride substitution, cage opening-rearrangement and cage opening-metal insertion, etc.) of the widely studied closo-borane anion [B10H10]2－ and potential applications (to boron neutron capture therapy of tumors, extraction of radioactive isotopes, new materials and su-pramolecular chemistry, etc.) of its derivatives are reviewed, covering the literature in the past 20 years.
