Progress in the Synthesis and Application of Porphyrin-Perylene Arrays

The porphyrin-perylene arrays, which have rapid and efficient photo-induced energy or charge tranfer processes between porphyrin and perylene blocks, have been widely used in the fabrication of organic molecular devices, organic photovoltaic devices or as light-harvesting antenna materials for optoelectronic devices and so on. In this review, the recent progress in the synthesis and application of the porphy-rin-perylene arrays is described and prospected.
